Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WedgeRoam application ("Service"), a B2B warehouse management and offline-first barcode scanning solution integrated exclusively with the Shopify ecosystem. By installing WedgeRoam, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Subscription Billing & Device Licensing

WedgeRoam operates on a transparent, device-based SaaS licensing model:

  • Base Platform (€29/month): Includes the core cloud routing infrastructure, automated wave generation, background syncing logic, and one (1) active rugged scanner or smartphone device license.
  • Scale Devices (+€15/month per device): Additional warehouse picking devices (Zebra, Honeywell, Datalogic, or consumer phones) can be added for €15 per month each.
  • Unlimited Volume: We impose absolutely zero limits or hidden fees on total order volume, wave picking generation, warehouse bin locations, or total barcode scans. You pay strictly for active hardware endpoints.

Billing Engine: All payments, subscriptions, and prorations are processed securely and exclusively through the Shopify Billing API. WedgeRoam does not directly collect or store your payment instruments. By installing the app, you authorize Shopify to charge your account in accordance with your chosen device footprint.

2. Hardware Requirements and Offline Operations

WedgeRoam is a native application engineered to utilize physical hardware laser scanners and local on-device caching. You acknowledge that:

  • We are not responsible for procuring, maintaining, or replacing your physical warehouse hardware (e.g., Zebra or Honeywell devices).
  • The sub-50ms instant barcode capture guarantee is dependent on the physical integrity of your device's laser scanner, vibrator motor, and internal processors.
  • Logistical data is cached locally on the device during Wi-Fi dead zones. You are responsible for ensuring physical hardware security and instituting shift-handoff protocols to prevent unauthorized access to local picking queues.

3. Service Level Agreement (SLA) & Uptime Limitations

Our cloud infrastructure targets a 99.9% uptime. However, because WedgeRoam is explicitly designed as an offline-first fulfillment application, the functional reality of your warehouse floor is largely decoupled from our cloud uptime.

Hardware SLA Limitations: We provide no warranty or SLA regarding the uptime of your local rugged hardware, local Wi-Fi networks, or external Shopify API outages. If your local network fails, WedgeRoam will continue to operate via on-device storage. We are not liable for delayed Shopify order fulfillments caused by devices failing to reconnect to the internet to trigger the background synchronization.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WedgeRoam shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service;
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein;
  • Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through our Service by any third party;
  • Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available through the Service.

In no event shall WedgeRoam's aggregate liability for all claims related to the Service exceed the total amount paid by you to WedgeRoam through the Shopify Billing API during the six (6) months prior to the event giving rise to the liability.

5. Shopify App Store Guidelines

WedgeRoam operates within the Shopify ecosystem. Should your Shopify account be suspended, terminated, or restricted by Shopify Inc., your access to WedgeRoam may be subsequently impaired or terminated. We bear no liability for service interruptions stemming from Shopify platform enforcement.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will always provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new pricing changes taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
